By now, I’m sure you all know my love for
the 1960s. Each and every thing about it, from the life changing movement, the
clothes, music, prints and of course the major babes that graced the world
including Francoise Hardy, Edie Sedgwick, Twiggy and obvz Jane Birkin.
They’re the ladies that inspire me; whilst
also being the ladies that inspire the other
ladies that inspire me, such as Alexa Chung, Suki Waterhouse and Leandra
Medine; my ultimate style icons.
So when a new era stepped into my life this
AW14 I was shocked at how well the two work together. I mean I know that
they’re two eras that are very close to one another, but there’s something
seriously amazing about how mixing the 1960s with the 1970s works so well.
A-line skirts combined with slim fit tees,
plunging necklines and killer platform boots now that’s a match made in
sartorial heaven, and don’t even get me started on the textures!
Suede and python, two absolutely, positively banging textures that work like a
dream against one another, dontcha think?
