So as you may be able to see, or if you follow me on Twitter or Instagram, you'll know that on Thursday I took a trip up to Cheshire to visit one of the McArthurGlen Outlet Villages. Cheshire Oaks was a regular haunt of ours when we were younger, we'd visit around twice a year to get our fix of bargains so it really is a complete honour to be working with them on this post.

McArthurGlen Outlet villages are dotted up and down the country and house the likes of Burberry, Mulberry, Next, M&S and many, many more, of which you can see some of above or here. I was kindly given a rather generous gift voucher to spend on my wardrobe essentials to show you guys the kind of amazingness that lies at the McArthurGlen Villages.

So, for me staples usually revolve around 2 colours; black and navy, so I picked out a pair of black cigarette trousers from Joseph. The kind of trousers that when you slip them over your hips you know, that they're the ONE! The fit is just incredible and they're the type of trouser that I will wear day in, day out in so many different ways for many seasons to come, which is what staples are all about after-all.

I then sauntered across to French Connection which is always a highlight when visiting Cheshire Oaks where I bagged this incredible navy tuxedo jacket and stunning high neck sequin dress for £40 IN TOTAL; my Christmas party staples sorted right there.

Christmas party looks in the bag, I wanted to find an every day piece that I could work into a number of different looks for different occasions, so I made a bee line for Fred Perry.
The Fred Perry store in itself is enough a reason to take a visit to your nearest McArthurGlen village; full to the brim of incredible Perry classics at even better reduced prices. I picked up this beautiful, super fluffy V neck sweater by Amy Winehouse; just look at those bell sleeves... OBSESSED! A definite staple of mine that looks equally as good with jeans as it does with the above Joseph trousers.

Finally I topped off my capsule wardrobe with a classic cross body handbag by Michael Kors; an absolute steal at only £80 and a colour combination that you know I'm a sucker for, particularly when teamed with this silver Marc Jacobs watch from The Watch Station. I've been on the look out for the perfect mannish silver watch for some time now and am seriously over joyed that I now own this beauty.

I cannot recommend McArthurGlen enough if you're on the hunt for some new staples for your wardrobe and of course some serious bargains! You can find out where your nearest outlet village is here, trust me, you won't regret it.

What do you reckon to my staples? Any faves?

x M
