A night at the CitizenM

Today, Monday 27th October marks mine and Wills 4 year anniversary... Oh how time has flown by ey? So to celebrate we made a weekend of it and got a number of little bits and pieces planned in to celebrate in style.

The first, a night of comedy at the Comedy Carnival just off Leicester Square; and oh how hilarious it was!
We had such a wonderful night in a small, underground club with serious grime yet with such great charm, watching some pretty darn hilarious stand up comedians take to the stage.
We arrived just in time for happy hour (£2 for a glass of red aka loopy juice) and took our seat front row to watch the likes of Sean Meo, think dry, sarcastic comedy... absolutely Hilarious, Mark Silcox and Earl Okin (take a nosey at the upcoming shows and comedians here). It was a really great night and something we had never done before but I will most definitely be back for a seriously cheap yet laugh out loud kinda evening.

Five, £2 wines later and we headed to our bed for the night at the CitizenM Bankside hotel, pretty much next door to The Tate, so a really great location for anyone thinking of visiting London.
And ohhh what a hotel it is. Literally one of the best places i've ever stayed at, with impeccable interior design, colours and gadgets, I simply didn't want to leave.

The interiors were just incredible, think the most Pinterest perfect decor and times it by five and you've pretty much got the CitizenM hotel down to a T, filled with the most weird and wonderful nic-nacs, furniture and installations that had me oggling for hours.
We then headed to our room to be greeted by, what I can only describe as a space pod... UHHHMAZING. The bed was insanely comfortable and the lighting just fascinating, you could have a wee mini disco whilst showering which provided some serious laughs.
With the lighting, air con, window shutters and television (which had a huge variety of free films to choose from) all controlled by a Samsung tablet, it was a seriously slick experience.

I cannot recommend the CitizenM hotels enough, we had a wonderful stay and were very sad when we had to check out the morning after. CitizenM are dotted all around the world in NYC, Paris, Amsterdam, Glasgow and Rotterdam and I cannot wait to book my next trip... I know where i'll be staying.
