First Day Nerves

Today was my first day at McQueen and it issafe to say that I was pooing myself. I was the most nervous I had ever been inall my life due to all the pre conceived ideas, stories and stereotypes I had picked up over my short time in the world of fashion.

McQueen have a reputation of having more unpaid interns than they do paid staff, keeping their poor interns in until the middle of the night and making them start again at 930am.
I really was expecting a re run of popular film “The Devil Wears Prada”  with me crying in the printer room every 10minutes, let the fun begin ey.

I arrived promptly at 930 and waited in the reception for someone to collect me, of course taking the time to take a snapshot of the world renowned fashion designers home.

I was greeted by fellow intern Georgie who was super sweet and who I was yet to learn would be my savior here at McQueen.
The others arrived and I was introduced tothe whole team, who were all extremely welcoming. I would be the accessories pres sintern working alongside the Accessories Press manager and her assistant.

My first day flew by with a mass of do’sand don’ts and a flurry of information to help me with my month placement atMcQueen.  I was very excited and geared up to begin my time with the McQueen press team, but I guess it’s early days after all.
